“Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, I started my professional journey in the nightlife scene—managing strip clubs, to be exact.”
I was a driven young guy, climbing the ranks and dominating that business for seven years. That hustle eventually brought me to Los Angeles, but deep down, I felt something was missing—like I’d left my creative spark back in Sacramento.
I’ve always been drawn to art, design, and visual storytelling, and photography had always intrigued me, even though I knew absolutely nothing about it. At the time, I was dating a model with a big online presence during the Dot Com boom. She needed photos for her website and encouraged me to try it out. I started tagging along for her shoots, watching and studying what the photographers were doing. Before long, I realized, I can do this—and probably better.
So, I bought a camera, jumped in headfirst, and taught myself everything through trial, error, and countless late nights with photography books and fashion magazines. Fast forward a bit, and thanks to a mix of chance, hustle, and luck, I landed a gig with Playboy Magazine, which opened the door to an incredible career.
Now, I’ve built a portfolio I’m ridiculously proud of, earned respect in the industry, and accomplished things I couldn’t have imagined when I first started. I live in West Hollywood, CA, where I run a thriving photography business, a full-scale studio, and now a workshop dedicated to teaching aspiring artists. Helping others refine their skills and grow creatively has become one of my greatest passions. If you’re ready to elevate your craft, let’s do it together.
